HistorySamburu.at began as the vision of a determined young woman from Samburu, Peninah believed deeply in herself, her community, and the transformative power of nature. Born and raised in Samburu, Peninah faced numerous challenges yet remained steadfast in her commitment to creating opportunities for her community. With a strong focus on empowering women and young girls, she started projects that celebrated traditional skills, such as authentic beadwork, and expanded into agroforestry to support sustainable living. Through her work, Peninah has inspired a movement that fosters independence, resilience, and pride, allowing her community to thrive on its own terms.
